These issues increase the more crowded a map gets. Make everything narrow and you get ISGs and mortars all over the place with no opportunities to properly flank. Leave everything open and you can never savely place an OKW truck or emplacement. And that overall favours certain factions. Very rarely is there something in between. Maps tend to be either wide open (like Steppes) or exremely narrow (like Düsseldorf). If maps are aviable for multiple modes, then at least one will be crap or neither will be good, because its a half baked mess. Can't they decide on one thing? Let every mode have a separate map-pool ffs. Same goes for Minsk Pocket if you're only 2. Then again Essen Steelworks is pretty big for 6 players. You can clump up to 8 player in Redball Express, but stuff like Gelsenkirchen Refinery allows for 4 players only. Either some are definitly too big or more often definitly too small for the amount of players it allows for. Whenever I play a map that is aviable for multiple modes I cannot help but feel that at least one of them is absolute crap to play on it. And yes I use tons of vetos, but that shouldn't even be required. Anybody else has the feeling that many maps currently in the map pool have some serious issues with scale and overall design? Regardless of game mode I might add.
